Read this part first, because we're not going to bury it. This bike came to us from the factory with a bad rear motor. We have replaced the entire rear wheel and motor assembly with a new unit from Ride1UP. The rear wheel on this bike is new; it is not the wheel it shipped with. Everything else on the bike has 42.4 miles on it.
That's the whole story. Now here's why it's a good buy anyway.
The LMT'D is Ride1UP's torque-sensor bike — and the torque sensor is the reason people pick it over everything else at this price. Instead of a cadence sensor that just detects whether the pedals are turning, the LMT'D reads how hard you're actually pushing and scales the motor to match. It feels like a regular bike with strong legs, not like a scooter with pedals attached. Class 2-3, 28 mph pedal assist and 20 mph throttle, 750W sustained angled-gear hub motor, 30-50 mile range.
